What Is Pastoral Counseling?
Pastor Chris studied Pastoral Counseling while at Columbia International University. He currently offers counseling to individuals, couples, and teenagers. He understands that each situation is as unique as the God that has created us. Pastor Chris will develop a plan to counsel you in your situation to best suit your needs.
Sometimes we can face obstacles in life. Whether through consequences stemming from our own choices, or difficulties done to us from other people. I come alongside people who are experiencing pain and difficulty in overcoming these obstacles who have a desire to grow. I help people heal, endure, and find a closer relationship with God as we walk through and address what is painful. I use the Bible as my final authority, guidance from the Holy Spirit, along with my studies in counseling in order to help people understand themselves and where they might want to grow. This is done in a confidential and safe atmosphere where I trust that you will discover how God’s design can lead to a more vibrant, fulfilling life. I counsel under clear ethical, legal, and biblical standards.
How Does Pastoral Counseling Work With Pastor Chris?
You set the agenda by telling Pastor Chris what you would like to work on. From here you will work with Pastor Chris to establish an affordable counseling plan that helps you grow and heal. This plan usually involves two methods to assist you in your journey.
First we may start by suggesting Biblical principles to begin your healing process. Second, we may use counseling principles to better understand yourself and others. By using these new skills, we will work together to help you continue to heal and grow.
How long is an Pastoral Counseling Session?
A typical affordable counseling session will be approximately one hour. As mentioned before, you will set the agenda for what we discuss. Once we know where we are going, we will work together with your goals for success in mind.
Can My Pastoral Sounseling Session Include Diagnosing?
No. Pastor Chris does not psychologically diagnose, use insurance, medicate or counsel outside of his expertise. If we discover that Pastor Chris is not the best person to see, he will give you a referral to someone who is qualified and experienced for your situation.
Will I be In Pastoral Counseling Services forever?
No. For some it affordable counseling can be quite brief. For others with years or decades of pain, lies, and abuse it can take longer. You determine when you are done and what you need. We will work together to meet your goals.
How Much Does Pastoral Counseling Cost?
The cost of affordable counseling is $75 per a person and $90 per a couple per counseling session. However, we know that it can be difficult to find the funds for such services.
